Life Church Leadership - elders

Phil & Liz Angell

Phil and Liz have been part of Life Church since it originally started (as Nene Family Church) in 1998 and are at the heart of all that goes on in the church! Phil became an elder in 2004 and also served as joint lead elder for a time, before handing the role over to Adam in 2009.

Phil works as a Quantity Surveyor in Peterborough, whilst Liz has recently retired as a teacher. They have two adult daughters who are also actively involved in the church along with their husbands. Phil is keen for Life Church to be a worshipping, praying, caring, sharing, Bible-based community to which new believers are constantly being added. He enjoys the countryside and travelling, watching rugby and football, and the garden (particularly his pond). Liz is known for her sense of humour and loves to cook, engage with her sewing machine and garden in her spare time. She also has an amazing collection of giraffes!
