Doing life together

Life Groups

Following Jesus together is at the heart of what we do at Life Church.

We believe God wants his people to live in genuine community. And while Sunday gatherings are a great place to be all together, they aren’t enough. To truly build deep friendships we need a smaller context where we can be church together.

That’s what we call Life Groups.

Life groups are our weekly small groups. They are the best way to get connected with others; to make friends, to grow in faith and learn together; to apply Sunday's teaching to real life, pray for one another and have fun together.

Many of our Life Groups run in a cycle of three 10-week terms each year, with a short break in between to catch our breath, and then time to sign up again for the next term. These groups give opportunity to meet a variety of people as well as attend groups with different focuses, such as: groups going through a course like Parenting for Faith; groups that meet together over a particular activity like running or knitting; and groups with a particular missional focus, like Alpha.

New this term, we are also introducing our first Continuous Life Groups which run throughout the year (without the need to sign up each term). These continuous Life Groups allow for life to be walked together in a deeper way, as we pray, encourage and support one another as disciples of Jesus.

Sign up for all our groups Life Groups opens on Sunday 21st April 2024. Groups begin the week of 5th May. If you would like any more info on the groups please email hello@wearelifechurch.uk

 Kids & Youth

We love family and want Life Church to be the best place for kids and young people in Peterborough. We hold groups for preschool, primary and youth-aged children every Sunday. Please see info on what we can offer below…

Preschool

Pips & Shoots

Our smallest people are highly treasured at Life Church. Pips & Shoots is our fun Sunday morning crèche for 0-4s.

Our team is passionate about communicating the gospel to the very youngest at Life Church, helping them to meet with Jesus for themselves. In our sessions we enjoy games, singing, Bible stories and messy crafts.

Children must be registered and collected by a responsible adult.

LifeTots

LifeTots, is our brilliant and hugely popular playgroup for parents/carers and their little ones. The group is buzzing with a variety of toys, games and activities, including a messy play area, followed by a music session designed especially for little ones. During the warmer months we open up our unique garden area for fun in the sandpit or some water play. Quality, varied snacks for everyone (check out our famous hot chocolate with the works - adults only)

Where: Peterborough at The Fletton Centre

When: Thursdays, 10-11:30am (term time only)

How: Booking is currently required each week to manage numbers so that Life Tots is a great experience for all. Only one booking is required per family and sign up is on a first come, first served basis. There is also the option to go on a waiting list and you will be notified if a space becomes available. Click on LifeTots logo below to book in.

LifeTots is open to all parents/carers and their pre-school children. There is no cost, however, donations are welcome. We are encouraging all parents/carers to wear a mask unless exempt.

If you’re aged 11-18, you’re in the right place. We have a whole bunch of groups and events just for you.

Been a Christian all your life? Not even sure if God exists? Somewhere in between? Wherever you’re at, we’d love to get to know you. Whether it’s a chat, a chance to make new friends or somewhere to ask those big questions, Life Youth could be just the thing for you.

Youth Life Group

We run a popular bi-weekly Life Group for young people. This is a great time for chat, games, fun, prayer and Bible study. And every Friday we run a social get-together at The Fletton Centre

We take seriously our responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable adults at Life Church and Life Community Trust. All of our teams working with under 18s and vulnerable adults have DBS certificates and undergo regular safeguarding training.

Simone & Wouter Vertegaal

CHURCH PLANTing

In the summer of 2022, we have sent two leaders and their family from Life Church to the Netherlands to plant a new church in the city of Nijmegen. The Vertegaal family have been part of Life Church for 15 years and Wouter and Simone have both been involved in leadership - Wouter being an elder and team leader and Simone pioneering our amazing Kids Club GLO.

You can read more about their story of God calling them to church plant in the Netherlands on the website www.plantnijmegen.com
